Echoes of Solitude: Art in the Age of Disconnection, Oil on canvas, 2024
Memories

My paintings delve into the complex emotions of loneliness, abandonment, and the feeling of being left behind. Each work not only portrays a different aspect of these experiences but also embraces a unique technical challenge—whether it’s capturing the delicate transparency of sheer curtains, the intricate patterns of plaids and checks, the texture of animal fur, or the play of sunlight and shadow.

In today's world, alienation and loneliness have become cultural epidemics, often fueled by technology that paradoxically disconnects us from genuine human connection. Everyone, at some point, faces moments of isolation or feels forgotten. For some, managing these emotions is a matter of survival. As we age, the sense of being left behind can become even more pronounced, but it is not inevitable. By reaching out, creating, and sharing our experiences, we can find new ways to connect and heal. Through these paintings, I hope to evoke empathy and understanding for the inner landscapes we all navigate and encourage dialogue on how we can support each other in moments of solitude.
